More Time to Listen. More Time for You.
New Tecumseth is changing quickly, and the decisions we make now will shape our community for years to come. I'm running for Ward 3 Councillor because I want residents to have a strong voice in those decisions and a councillor who takes the time to listen, ask questions and do the homework.
Six areas that matter to Ward 3.
Growth & Development
Where growth happens, OPA 5, housing, density, farmland and planning for the New Tecumseth we're becoming.
Water, Wastewater & Infrastructure
Where our water comes from, sewage capacity, servicing new development, roads and making sure infrastructure keeps pace with growth.
Taxes & Affordability
Property taxes, water rates, municipal spending, development charges and making thoughtful decisions about what residents can afford.
Roads, Traffic & Transportation
Traffic calming, truck traffic, rural roads, parking, pedestrian safety and planning our road network for future growth.
Recreation, Parks & Community
The pool, field house, arena, parks, trails, trees, accessibility and recreation that serves residents of all ages.
Listening & Accountability
Being reachable, explaining decisions, listening to residents and making sure Ward 3 has a voice at Town Hall.
Rooted in Ward 3. Ready to serve.
Laurie Mortimer was born and raised in Beeton. She knows this community not as a newcomer but as someone who has watched it grow and change over decades.
I'm not someone who believes we can, or should, stop change. But I do believe we have a responsibility to guide it well.
Laurie is the kind of councillor Ward 3 has been waiting for — someone who actually listens, shows up, and gets things done.— Ward 3 Resident & Community Organizer
